Well, it seems like a lifetime ago now but it has only been a few months since our wedding showcase and what a very special and amazing weekend that was!
We had a fabulous time chatting to all the lovely couples who attended along with their friends and family about their wedding plans. It was really special to be able to put something together following the current guidelines and restrictions as we were so devastated to have to cancel our usual wedding fayre at the Royal Jersey Showground but of course with restrictions this was impossible to do. However, allowing couples to come by appointment only and see a marquee set up, look at different styles, options and for us to have a chat about their wedding plans in a more intimate and relaxed way was incredibly successful.
We wanted to show all you lovely people a snap shot of what can be possible if you choose a marquee wedding and tried to include as many different styles and options as possible.
We focused mainly on two distinctive styles. One end of the marquee was very rustic using festoon lighting, ivory lining, rustic tables and our beautifully made filament bar with simple but eye-catching details such as the wine barrels, sage green napkins and gorgeous stationery provided by the lovely Beth at Papervows to tie it all together. Bella Fiori added the perfect finishing touches with subtle foliage runners and bright pops of floral colour.
Harpers Catering kindly offered their crockery and glass wear to enable clients to see a table set as it would be on your big day and Bridal Boutique also very kindly provided some beautiful pieces with two suits and a gorgeous wedding dress to showcase the services they provide.
The whole marquee was beautifully brightened by natural daylight coming through from the clear roofs in the centre of the marquee which was then draped by fairy lights and this really came into its own as the sun set. This area was used for the dance and chill out zone using our pallet seating, and wooden dancefloor which was lit by Bella Fiori’s stunning LOVE backdrop letters. The atmosphere was then cemented by YESS Entertainment and their amazing equipment.
We then wanted to contrast this rustic and evening look with something really clean, classic and a more polished look and so we draped the other side of the marquee with white lining, our white bar, a horseshoe top table and round table with contrasting grey table linen, elegant place settings featuring touches of gold with stationary from Papervows and a grand centre piece by Ffi at Bella Fiori.
The entrance area was created using one of our Chinese hats and we added in pallet seats for our clients to sit down and chat through their wedding plans. Diamondology provided a beautiful display of jewellery in this area for clients to look at as they entered.
Of course, no wedding is complete without cake and this cake display was by the very talented Jenna at Pat-A-Cakes and it really was stunning, completed with beautifully made biscuits and white chocolate lollies & hearts as a simple touch for anyone that does like cake (but who doesn’t?!).
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our wedding showcase whether that was providing cakes, table linen, stationery, equipment or showcasing your products and services, it really made our showcase come to life and a weekend to remember.
Everyone made such an amazing effort to help out and provide clients with lots of information and goodies. We put together our goodie bags and they were the best yet filled with cupcakes, brochures, cookies, flowers, discounted offers and the list goes on!
As we weren’t able to go ahead with our normal wedding fayre and have everyone there we still wanted suppliers to get their information and services across to clients so we asked them to put together a short video about how what they do, who they are and how they can help you with your wedding and we had a great response for this so thank you very much for this it was so useful to our clients and a lovely feature to have on the day. Special thanks to the team at Delta Events who put the video loop together for us and provided the screens.
We would like to say a massive thank you to Paul Wright who took the time to pop along and take some amazing photos of the marquee set up during the day and evening to showcase what we did for clients who weren’t able to attend.
And of course, last but certainly not least, thank you very much to all the clients who came along and met with us, it was a pleasure to discuss your wedding plans and talk about all the different options to make sure your dream wedding comes to life.
